Do You Know Where Your Dog Is?

ok so parents are posed with this question sometimes with regard to their kids and sometimes it is a challenge to their parenting skills.  But the dog, well, taking care of your dog is a skill.  There are good owners and negligent ones.  Today I was out walking my terrier and there in the park is an unleashed, unattended beautiful beige tall giant poodle dog.  And he is happy - he is out there walking and exploring and sniffing the ocean air.  Dog parent where are you - no one is around.  So then I start to worry how this dog will find its way back home.  I carry an extra leash with me for any emergencies but this little beauty is leaping and bounding and leashing is not one of the ideas she has in mind in order to have her good time.

So I caution you dog owners to protect and love those creatures and dont be unaware - dont leave them to wander loose by themselves.  The results can sometimes be heartbreaking and I dont want to shed tears for those dogs who get hurt.

Question concerning friendships

Friendships - when do you know that your girlfriend is giving you a message but skirting around the real issues?  Why does she avoid you when you call and make excuses not to get together?  Why not just speak the truth in a way that is kind but not just self motivated?   She used to be my hairdresser and I stopped seeing her as her cuts were unattractive and she forced her styles on me instead of what I wanted.  I knew I could not continue so one day I cancelled and apt  and then it seemed to put distance between us.  But then Ihonestly said I had found another lady and left it at that.  I keep reaching out in holiday invites and niceties but her response is oh so cold.   Guess I know who not to invite for dinner anymore.   Time for some new friends to inspire me.

Christmas in the Country

Well, three days till Christmas.  Am I ready?  As much as I could be.  The turkey is so big this year and its thawing in the fridge and I hope by Fri it will be done.  Lots of left overs with goody bags going home to the few who cant cook and will survive on the leftovers for a few more days.  The snow has melted away and the sky is grey but at least we aren't freezing.  Presents are wrapped and hidden away and now we wait for Santa and the elves to come a knocking.
